Greystone Education Funding consists of GCO Education Loan Funding Corp. (GCO ELF) and Private Academic Loans, LLC. GCO ELF acquires, holds and securitizes student loan assets originated under the Federal Family Education Loan Program (FFELP), providing student loan lenders with the liquidity they need to generate new loans and grow their businesses.

In addition, Private Academic Loans, LLC through a direct-to-consumer lending program called The Educated Borrower® offers private loans to individuals and families who require financial aid above and beyond the funds available through federal programs.

As higher education costs have risen, so has the need for sources of student loan funding. GCO ELF helps the student loan industry meet that demand by purchasing FFELP loans in the secondary market.

With an asset base exceeding $6 billion—and the support of global banking institutions—GCO ELF has immediate liquidity to acquire student loan portfolios of FFELP Stafford, PLUS and consolidation student loans, both through spot sales and forward purchase agreements. Our management team has decades of experience in the student loan industry enabling us to respond quickly to these opportunities and to tailor solutions that meet each client’s distinctive cash flow requirements and business goals.

PRIVATE STUDENT LOAN PRODUCTS

For many students and parents, federal student loan programs simply aren’t enough to meet today’s rising education costs. In response, we created The Educated Borrower® private loan program to help fill the gap. The Educated Borrower® simplifies and streamlines the student loan process, with online (or traditional) applications that can be filled out in as little as 15 minutes, swift approvals, 20-year repayment periods, and no required payments until after graduation.

We offer products that suit a broad variety of financial needs—whether a student is starting college or in graduate school. We also offer a private loan consolidation program to complement our suite of  private loan products. Our program strongly positions Private Academic Loans, LLC in the fast-growing private student loan marketplace.
