Greystone Renewable Energy Ventures (Greystone REV) helps to create a Clean and Independent Energy Future by making socially responsible and economically viable investments in Renewable Energy projects throughout the United States.



Mission

Greystone REV uses our expertise in tax advantaged financial investments to provide capital to companies and projects that provide Renewable Energy.

As the demand for alternative forms of energy has grown, so has the need for better alternatives to finance their development.

Greystone Renewable Energy Ventures will focus on providing project level finance tools, both debt and tax credit equity, and deal structuring expertise to renewable energy companies nationwide.

Our initial focus is financing solar power, fuel cell, and biomass projects. We will expand our services by helping entrepreneurial organizations expand to other forms of renewable energy, including wind, geothermal and hydropower.

Richard Heyman

Managing Director of Greystone CDE, LLC, Greystone Renewable Energy Ventures, LLC

As Managing Director, Mr. Heyman has overall responsibility for all the activities and performance of both ventures including marketing, profitability and staff. Mr. Heyman also works in several other areas of Greystone including portfolio management, debt restructuring and management of Greystone’s assets and loan origination. Mr. Heyman has been with Greystone since its inception in 1988 focusing on multifamily housing finance, debt restructuring and reports directly to the Chief Executive Officer of Greystone.

Mr. Heyman is a graduate of Vanderbilt University and Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management.

Matt James

Managing Director of Greystone CDE, LLC, Greystone Renewable Energy Ventures, LLC

Matt James developed and is the Managing Director of both Greystone CDE, LLC and Greystone Renewable Energy Ventures, LLC. Mr. James is responsible for all business development, investor relations and deal structuring for both entities. He joined Greystone from Fannie Mae and GMAC Commercial Mortgage where he worked in community development, debt and equity investment and asset backed securitization.

He has a B.A. Degree from The American University and a Masters of International Business Degree from the University of Auckland in Auckland, New Zealand.
