November 24, 2014
Greystone announced that banking industry veteran Ken Jones has joined Greystone as a Director in its Chicago office. In this role, Mr. Jones will focus on originating new commercial mortgage loans in the Midwest and will report to Clint Darby, Managing Director and head of Greystone’s Chicago office.
Mr. Jones has spent the past 25 years of his mortgage lending career at Citibank in Chicago, with a background in residential, new construction and commercial real estate lending, including multifamily and retail properties. While at Citibank, he expanded the platform to include production across the Midwestern United States. While there, he also spent time originating small business loans and lines of credit for local area businesses. Mr. Jones earned a Bachelor’s degree in business and economics from Southern Illinois University.
“Ken’s breadth of experience in lending across the Midwest will serve as an invaluable asset to Greystone’s commercial mortgage lending efforts, especially Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac products, for which we are seeing increasing demand in the multifamily sector,” said Mr. Darby. “We are thrilled Ken has joined us and look forward to expanding Greystone’s presence in Chicago and beyond.”
Greystone provides mortgage finance solutions across multiple platforms, including FHA, Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, USDA, CMBS, bridge, mezzanine and other proprietary loan programs. In 2013, Greystone ranked #1 in combined multifamily and healthcare FHA lending, #3 in Affordable Housing as a Fannie Mae DUS lender, and as a top-5 Freddie Mac lender for seniors housing.
